Craft Gets 3 Stars from the New York Times!

“The Pleasure of Simplicity” by Sam Sifton

Ten years ago Craft received its first three-star review from William Grimes of the New York Times.  We were just a few months old and we were doing things quite differently from other three-star restaurants.  We didn’t have white table cloths, or any table cloths for that matter, we were serving extremely simple preparations of food – Tom would remind us that “simple does not mean simplistic” – and the food was being served family-style.  Ten years later, we’re still doing the same things and it’s incredibly satisfying to have the New York Times affirm that we’re doing it just as well if not better than we did then.
